Thoughts about Usernames

I've been at a weird point in my art journey for a while already (more on that maybe another time, when I feel like typing it all out into a post), but one of the issues I've been circling around is the whole username thing. 

 

"LilaacWitch" 

 

I like this name, I mean I chose it, what, 10 years ago by now? Maybe less, but I'm starting to feel like I'm growing out of the name a little bit. I'm not super into witchcraft, unlike some peeps I see online. Not really into witchcraft in the traditional sense either. Think the most witchy thing I own is a pentagram necklace and a tarot deck.. and I guess my general obsession with the moon could count here, but that's besides the point.
I mostly like the aesthetic of it all, think Whimsigoth, Cottagecore - I do like them all, but I don't see myself fitting into the "witch" category, unless we look at it like we look at witches in cartoons and anime. 

So now here is the problem: What else would I call myself???

 

The name "Lilac" is definitely still good, I really like the ring to it, I got very used to it being attached to my online presence and it has roots in an old nickname from an ex-friend. 
TL;DR: "Alissa" was too long for an old ass phone, so it became "Lila", which is just purple in German aka. my fave colour, which then became "Lilac" later, since "Lila" kept outing me as German and lilacs happen to be my fave flowers

Problem with that is: The name Lilac or even Lilaac is taken almost everywhere. Heck, even "lilacwitch" is highly contested apparently and I know another artist on twitter that goes with that name, just spelled slightly differently.
So in that way it would make sense to change usernames.

But into what???

I don't want another 2 word combo, as that feels a bit weird to me.
I would prefer something like a name that isn't too long and not too short, that has a good ring to it and is memorable, but including "Lilac" in there somewhere is turning out to be really difficult.
It got to the point where I would sit down and just run random words I liked through a word combiner website, to maybe find something that has a nicer ring to it, than just "LilacWitch".
Nothing really stuck out so far though. Sadly.

Friends of mine have really nice usernames, which make me wonder how they got them, but a lot of the time it really is just them combining nicknames, words they like, maybe even their likes in different languages and mixing them up until they have a nice username. 

I've been even pestering my boyfriend with this brainrotting experience, but he couldn't cook up anything nice either lol. I guess at this point I'm hoping to run into a really creative good-at-naming-things person to help me out, because idk where else to go with this silly thought of wanting a fitting username to really represent me. 
Especially now that I'm old enough where I feel like I should be able to cook something up that really just.. fits I guess? 

 

In an effort to maybe help with that, I will leave a little list of thing I like a lot and doubt that it will change any time soon, but as a fair warning: I found it very difficult to combine things with the name "Lilac" so it's not a must, but I would enjoy having it in there somehow. Even if the c is chopped off or something. 

• the moon
• the nightsky 
• anything celestial looking honestly
• northern lights 
• any sort of dumpling (as in the food)
• art & art history (duh)
• music (a lot of my early inspiration came from music actually)
• poems, although I don't actively seek them out 
• nature, plants, flowers
• ice (as an element in general)
• purple ofc
• light (as in lighting outside, in movies, in other art pieces. Just light as a concept)
• lights, but as in lamps 
• nostalgia (love & hate relationship, but I wrote my bachelor thesis on nostalgia)
• colours & contrast (duh, as an artist, but you will see what I mean on the pinterest board)
• figure skating (I don't do this sport, but I loooooove watching figure skating)
• paintings (noteable periods being: impressionism, art nouveau, surrealism, in general modernism has a lot of interesting concepts when it comes to art history)
• tea
• in terms of animals namely: cats, crows, magpies, sharks, chickens, but I just like animals
• trinkets
• Soots Sprites from Ghibli
• scifi & cyberpunk as genres in media
• ghosts (in a cutesy & whimsical way) 

 

.... Honestly listing these things is making me think "maybe I just make a pinterest board with the vibes I really like and maybe then I and whoever reads this will be inspired" lmao

I do have to say that I didn't put this board together as a "this is so me" but it's more of a collection of things I find inspiring, things I find relatable, clothing I could see myself in and also in general shards of my personality, if that makes sense? Just a general vibe check??

Anyway, enough yapping and more about sending this into the void. Maybe this is a nice little sight into my head (especially the pinterest board), but I appreciate any name suggestion or even general thought. I will be over here trying to cook up that art journey entry and it will likely be as long if not longer of a post than this one.
